What are three key duties of a web designer?

Web designers plan, create and code Internet sites and web pages, many of which combine text with sounds, images, graphics and video clips. Not sure what the responsibilities of a web designer are? Let's answer the question “what does a web designer do?” analyzing the web design process in more detail. Since website design is such a complex process, it can be difficult to understand the scope of web design services. So what exactly does a web designer do? No design project comes out of nowhere. First, the customer does the research necessary to write a good design brief.

After that, a designer has to find relevant projects and research competing websites. This is often something that all design teams work on together. User interface designers ensure that the design makes sense and that the site provides visual guidance to visitors. UX designers are concerned with information architecture or with grouping information in a way that helps visitors have the best experience. This is where graphic design skills really pay off.

Stock photos and product photos are great, but creating personalized images that let site visitors know about your business is another level. The way in which information is grouped and presented on the website is called information architecture. In a world where more than half of Internet traffic comes from mobile devices, the need for responsive design is one of the most important project requirements for requesting a web design. Responsive design means creating websites that adapt and respond to different screen sizes, devices, and orientations.

The goal of responsive design is to provide an optimal user experience, regardless of whether a user accesses the website from a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. From using the right type of fonts (web vs. System (fonts) to anticipate how content will be scaled to smaller screens and optimize images and media for use on the web: much more adjustments are required than a simple graphic design. While web developers do the scaling, web designers provide guidelines on what content should look like on a different screen.
